Aba: Artisan Dies After Falling Onto Live Wires
An artisan has reportedly been electrocuted while clearing weeds on the roof of a shopping plaza along Ehi Road in Aba, Abia State. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening after heavy rainfall left the rooftop slippery.
The young man, whose identity was not immediately known, reportedly lost his balance and came into contact with live electrical wires supplying power to the building. An eyewitness said the victim cried out after touching the wires while electricity was still on.
The incident attracted residents and onlookers to the area, with some calling on property owners to keep electrical wires away from buildings. Police and relevant Abia State government agencies had not issued an official statement on the incident at the time of the report.
