Joe Igbokwe Makes Bold Prediction About Tinubu’s 2027 Battle
APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has declared that no political force can stop President Bola Tinubu from completing eight years in office, expressing confidence in the president’s chances of securing re-election in 2027. Speaking at a political gathering, Igbokwe urged supporters across Southern Nigeria, including the South-East, to unite behind Tinubu, insisting that the president had fought his way to power in 2023.
Igbokwe argued that Tinubu played a decisive role in the emergence of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served two terms, and should equally be allowed to complete eight years. “Nobody can stop Asiwaju from doing eight years,” he said, adding that Tinubu now had greater political influence because he was already in power. He also warned that those expecting to remove the president after one term were underestimating his political strength.

The APC chieftain further called on the South-East to support Tinubu, arguing that backing the president could encourage political reciprocity from other regions in future elections. He also pointed to the South’s population, educational achievements and contributions to Nigeria, saying greater unity would strengthen the region’s political voice. Igbokwe’s remarks come as political alignments begin to take shape ahead of the 2027 general election.
