Former Miss Taraba Comfort Williams Dies, Pageant Organisers Mourn
Former Miss Taraba beauty queen, Comfort Williams, has died, prompting an outpouring of grief from the organisation responsible for the state’s annual beauty pageant.

Prime Planet Event Managers, organisers of the Mr and Miss Taraba competition, announced her death in a condolence statement released on Monday.
The organisation described Williams as a valued member of its team, highlighting her contributions as Assistant Managing Director.
According to the statement, her death has left the management and members of the organisation deeply devastated.
“She was not just a member of our organisation but an important part of the Prime Planet family,” the statement said.
Prime Planet Chief Executive Officer, Disebe Donga, also shared the condolence message on Facebook.
Williams earned public recognition after winning the 10th Miss Taraba crown in 2023.
Her victory marked a significant milestone in her involvement with the state’s beauty and entertainment industry.
In January 2026, Prime Planet appointed her Assistant Managing Director as part of a seven-member leadership structure known as Team 7.
The organisation’s new management team was headed by Tabitha Adda, who assumed the position of Managing Director.
Williams served alongside Leah Lot Mangbon, who was appointed Head of Contestants.
In October 2024, the former beauty queen joined other Taraba pageant winners during a visit to Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja.
Her participation in the visit further reflected her involvement in activities connected to the state’s pageantry and public engagements.
Following the announcement, Prime Planet extended its condolences to her family, friends and loved ones.
The organisation described her as someone whose contributions and memories would remain part of its history.
“You will forever remain a part of the Prime Planet family. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten,” it added.

However, the organisation did not disclose the circumstances surrounding Williams’ death.
