VIDEO: Man Allegedly Kills Ex-Girlfriend After Breakup, Dumps Body
A young woman, identified as Umuora Mmesoma, has reportedly been murdered in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, following the alleged breakdown of her relationship with her former boyfriend.

Mmesoma was reported missing on Friday, October 16, 2026, before her body was subsequently discovered, according to reports circulating online.
The man, identified as Chima, is alleged to have killed the young woman after she ended their relationship.
A video circulating on social media purportedly shows the suspect describing how he allegedly committed the crime.
In the recording, he reportedly claimed that he killed Mmesoma inside his house in Uga, placed her body in a bag and dumped it at an undisclosed location.
However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing have yet to be independently established.
Reports indicate that the suspect has been handed over to the police in Anambra State. As of the time Daily Post Nigeria published its report, the state police command had not issued an official statement on the incident.
The alleged murder has renewed concerns about violence against women, particularly cases in which intimate relationships become dangerous following separation or rejection.
Reacting to the incident, Dr Uche Nworah, a former Special Adviser on General Duties to the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, condemned the reported killing and stressed that the decision to end a relationship should never expose anyone to violence.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Nworah said it was tragic that a young woman had reportedly lost her life after exercising her right to leave a relationship she no longer wanted.
He maintained that neither heartbreak nor rejection could justify taking another person’s life.
Nworah also expressed relief over reports that the suspect had been apprehended, while noting that his arrest could not restore the life allegedly lost in the incident.
The case has drawn attention to the need to take threats, controlling behaviour and other warning signs of abuse seriously in intimate relationships.
Note: The police had not publicly confirmed the details in the original report at the time of publication.

The allegations should therefore remain attributed to their sources until the authorities provide an official account.
