Nollywood actor Francis Duru’s heartfelt tribute to his wife, Adokiye, has resurfaced following his death at 57, drawing renewed attention to the bond they shared over 23 years of marriage. The veteran actor died after a brief illness, according to a statement from his family.

In the anniversary message, Duru praised his wife’s patience, perseverance and sacrifices for their family, describing her as their “anchor” and “strong tower.” “It’s 23 years stuck together, glued together…looks like yesterday,” he wrote, expressing gratitude to her for making their marriage worthwhile and thanking God for blessing him with a good wife and a great family.

Duru is survived by Adokiye and their three children. The family had previously suffered the loss of their son, Ifeanyi, in 2024.
