8 Killed in Charter Plane Crash in Alaska
A charter plane crashed near a remote radar facility in western Alaska on Thursday, killing all eight people aboard. The Cessna 441 had departed Anchorage and was heading to Cape Newenham when it went down around 12:15 p.m. local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The aircraft was carrying eight personnel on a civilian-contracted flight. Search-and-rescue teams confirmed there were no survivors, while officials said the identities of those killed would be released after their families were notified.

The cause of the crash remains unknown. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident, with the NTSB expected to lead the inquiry.
