Check Out FIFA Global Rankings After 2026 FIFA World Cup (List)
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have retained 26th place in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings released after the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Eric Chelle’s side also remain fourth among African nations despite their 2-1 international friendly defeat to Portugal in June.
World Cup quarter-finalists Morocco remain Africa’s highest-ranked team, climbing to sixth in the world. Senegal are second on the continent despite dropping three places globally, while Egypt moved up to third in Africa after reaching the Round of 16 at the World Cup. Algeria complete Africa’s top five.
At the top of the global rankings, newly crowned world champions Spain have reclaimed the No. 1 spot. Defending champions Argentina dropped to second, while France, England and Brazil round out the top five.
