“Tinubu Did Not Go to Primary School” — Sowore Urges President to Embrace Adult Education

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has renewed his criticism of President Bola Tinubu over the educational credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking on Monday after proceedings in his defamation case involving the president at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Sowore claimed Tinubu failed to provide details of his primary and secondary education in the documents filed with the electoral body.

According to the activist, the president should take advantage of adult education, insisting that it is not too late to return to school.

“President Tinubu didn’t go to primary and secondary school. He only presented a paper from Chicago State University, which was different from the paper he presented in 1999.

“I’m advising him that it’s not too late to take advantage of adult education. Let him go back to primary school online,” Sowore said.

Sowore’s comments come amid renewed public debate over the educational credentials submitted by Tinubu to INEC.

The activist argued that the president did not include details of his primary and secondary education in the educational qualifications section of the personal particulars filed with the electoral body for the 2027 presidential election.

His remarks are expected to further fuel political discussions surrounding the president’s academic records, an issue that has remained a subject of public and legal scrutiny in recent years.
