VIDEO: Harry B Makes Urgent Appeal in Video Over Veteran Nollywood Actress
Veteran Nollywood actor and musician Harry B Anyanwu has appealed to colleagues and well-meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of veteran actress Maureen Okpoko, urging the industry not to abandon one of its own.
In a video shared online, Harry B said he was with the actress in Enugu as he called on members of Nollywood and the public to support her in accessing the medical treatment she needs.
Describing Okpoko as a woman of “inestimable value,” the actor expressed hope that with timely intervention, her condition could improve.
“I am right here in Enugu with my sister of inestimable value, Maureen Okpoko. Nollywood, let’s reach out to her and support her. She’s blind, but she can restore her sight,” Harry B said in the video.
The emotional appeal has drawn reactions on social media, with many Nigerians urging Nollywood stakeholders and other well-meaning individuals to support the veteran actress.
