Woman Dies After Freak Party Injury as Family Questions Official Account
A 32-year-old woman, Ilda Beatriz Goyochea, has died after suffering a severe neck injury during a dinner party at her home in La Rioja, Argentina.
Friends claimed she accidentally fell onto a wine glass, which shattered and caused a deep wound to her neck. She was rushed to hospital, remained in a coma for nearly a week, and later died from brain failure caused by lack of oxygen.
Despite the initial claims of a tragic accident, the victim’s family is demanding a full investigation.
Their lawyer argued that the injury appeared unusually straight and clean for a wound caused by broken glass, raising questions about whether foul play may have been involved.
Authorities have detained two people who were at the party after reportedly finding inconsistencies in their statements.
