The shocking discovery was made after the woman, 32, gave birth to a healthy baby and was taken to hospital, while her partner later found what appeared to be the decomposed body of an infant in a box and alerted medical staff.
A subsequent police search uncovered the skeletal remains of four more infants stored in boxes inside the apartment.

Prosecutors have opened an investigation into the alleged murder of minors under the age of 15, while forensic experts work to determine the cause and circumstances of the deaths through autopsies and anthropological examinations.
The woman’s partner told investigators he had no knowledge of any previous pregnancies, while the woman remains hospitalized and has not yet been questioned.

Meanwhile, the couple’s two children have been placed under child welfare assessment, and a temporary protection order has been issued for the newborn as the investigation continues.
