Dana White Responds to Paulo Costa’s UFC Fight Complaint
UFC CEO Dana White has responded to Paulo Costa’s recent complaints about his lack of fights, insisting that the Brazilian has been offered opportunities but turned them down. White dismissed Costa’s claim that the UFC was keeping him inactive, saying fighters are regularly offered bouts even when they are not currently ready to compete.
Costa, 35, recently said he has one fight remaining on his UFC contract and gave the promotion three options. He wants either a three-round light heavyweight fight under his existing pay terms, a five-round bout with increased compensation, or an immediate release from his contract.
White did not reveal details of the fights Costa allegedly declined, including opponents, dates or financial terms. Costa has also not publicly listed the offers he rejected, leaving the contractual dispute unresolved as the Brazilian continues to seek another fight at light heavyweight.
