Why I Walked Away from Church After Fame – Nicki Minaj Opens Up
American rap star Nicki Minaj has revealed that her decision to stop attending church was not driven by doubt or a change in belief, but by the demanding schedule that came with her rise to global fame.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast, the rapper explained that her departure from regular Sunday services began shortly after her career took off and her weekends became packed with performances.
According to her, the shift was gradual but unavoidable. Friday and Saturday nights were often spent on stage, leaving her physically drained by Sunday mornings, the traditional time for church services.
She noted that the exhaustion from back-to-back performances made it difficult to maintain a consistent church routine, even though her personal faith remained intact.
“I stopped going to church once my career started taking off,” she explained, adding that her work schedule made weekend worship nearly impossible to maintain.

Despite stepping away from regular attendance, Nicki Minaj emphasized that her relationship with God has not weakened. She described her faith as ongoing and still very much present in her daily life.
She also admitted that consistency in her spiritual journey has been a challenge, but said she continues to grow and make efforts to stay connected spiritually.

Her comments have since sparked discussion among fans, with many reflecting on the tension between demanding careers and maintaining religious practices in adulthood.
