Blessing CEO Loses Son Behind Bars as Bail Fight Continues
Popular Nigerian social media personality Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, is reportedly mourning the death of her second son, Bryan, while she remains in custody in Lagos.
The news was announced on Friday by Amira Agiye, founder of Isaamira Love Foundation, who said she was appealing for assistance on behalf of the detained influencer.
According to Agiye, Blessing CEO is dealing with the loss while still unable to secure her release from custody.
In a voice recording played by Agiye, Blessing CEO confirmed the death of her son and described Bryan as a lively child.
She expressed hope that she would be released from custody so she could return home, pick up the pieces of her life and pay her final respects to her son.
The development has added a deeply personal dimension to the legal troubles that have kept the social media personality behind bars for months.
Blessing CEO’s detention is linked to a property fraud case being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
She was arraigned before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja over an alleged N69.15 million property-related fraud.
The EFCC alleged that she obtained the money from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited after representing that she could secure a property in Lekki for the company.
Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
The case remains before the court and the allegations against her have not been established as fact.
Court Granted Her N20m Bail
In July 2026, the court granted Blessing CEO bail of N20 million.
The bail came with conditions, including two sureties in the same amount. The sureties were also required to provide evidence of deposits or fixed deposits valued at N20 million over a three-year period.
Despite the bail ruling, Blessing CEO has reportedly remained in custody because she has been unable to satisfy the conditions attached to her release.
Her continued detention has therefore become another major part of the case, with supporters and sympathisers now appealing for assistance.
Fresh Appeal for Help
Agiye said Blessing CEO needs N20 million to meet the bail requirement and also referred to another N36 million linked to people who brought the separate legal matter against her.
She appealed to Nigerians to support the influencer despite differing opinions about her public life and the allegations against her.
The appeal has now taken on greater urgency following the reported death of Bryan.
Blessing CEO’s own words, as relayed in the voice recording, reflected the difficulty of grieving while separated from home and family.
“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan,” she said, according to the recording played by Agiye.
She also expressed hope that she would be able to leave custody, return to her life and pay her respects to her son.
Blessing CEO, who built a large following through relationship-related commentary and controversial social media content, has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s online space.
Her legal troubles have since shifted attention from her online career to the criminal proceedings before the courts.
The N69.15 million case is still ongoing, and Blessing CEO remains entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until the court determines otherwise.
The circumstances surrounding Bryan’s death have not been fully detailed in the court proceedings. Reports circulating online have suggested different accounts, but those details should be treated cautiously until independently confirmed.
