Black Market Targets Guinness World Record With 50,000-Person Screening

Nollywood is set for an unusual movie premiere as Black Market, produced by Nora Awolowo and directed by Fatimah Binta Gimsay, targets a Guinness World Record for the largest single-location film screening.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, where organisers hope to bring together 50,000 movie lovers. According to BellaNaija, the team is aiming to surpass the reported record of 43,000 attendees for a single film screening.

Black Market is a crime thriller about five market women who build a cross-border smuggling network amid fuel scarcity and economic hardship. The film features Lateef Adedimeji, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Omowunmi Dada, Uzor Arukwe, Scarlet Gomez, Ibrahim Yekini and Susan Pwajok, among others.
