Biggie Introduces New Twist That Could Cut BBNaija Season 11 Winner’s Prize
The race for the Big Brother Naija Season 11 grand prize has taken an unexpected turn after the show’s organisers unveiled a new rule that could reduce the winner’s N100 million reward before the finale.
During Monday’s live show, Biggie announced that the prize money will no longer remain fixed throughout the season. Instead, it will now depend on how well the housemates perform in their weekly tasks.
Under the new format, every failed task will attract a deduction of N5 million from the grand prize, while successful performances will keep the prize fund intact.
Biggie also revealed that any money removed from the prize pool will not go to waste. The deducted amount will be shared equally among the contestants who emerge as the season’s Most Influential Housemates.
To support the new reward system, the Most Influential Player of the Week ranking has returned. Housemates will score one another every week on a scale of one to five, with the cumulative ratings determining those who eventually earn the influence reward.
The show also introduced another strategic element known as the Conspiracy Hour.
During the session, each housemate will have the opportunity to enter the Conspiracy Zone and invite other contestants for a one-minute private strategy discussion.
Biggie warned that every conversation held in the zone must remain confidential, with any violation attracting sanctions.
Earlier in the day, Sheba emerged as the new Head of House, earning immunity from eviction as well as a special nomination advantage.
Instead of nominating fellow contestants for possible eviction, housemates were instructed to vote to save three contestants.
At the end of the process, Tram, Barry, Cassi, Goddessa and Bells secured the highest number of save votes.
However, Sheba later exercised her Head of House privilege by removing Cassi’s immunity and transferring it to Chimsom Chuka.
The season’s Gambits, Flora and Aikou, also retained their automatic immunity.
Following the latest twists, 16 housemates were placed on the eviction list. They are Abi, Araga, Bluethopia, Cassi, Gerard, Kamsy, Keivo, Martins, Mercedes, Nomy, Neche, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem and Yusuf.
Voting has since opened and is scheduled to close at 10 p.m. on Thursday.
