Trump Pressures Fuel Retailers to Cut Gas Prices Immediately
U.S. President Donald Trump has called on fuel retailers across the country to immediately reduce gasoline prices, arguing that current pump prices are unjustified given the recent decline in global oil prices.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said gasoline retailers should act without delay, noting that crude oil was trading at about $68 per barrel.
He warned that consumers should not be subjected to inflated prices when market conditions suggest fuel should be cheaper.
The president stressed that any attempt to artificially keep prices high could amount to illegal price gouging and cautioned that businesses refusing to lower prices could face serious consequences.
Trump said the fair retail price of gasoline should be around $2.50 per gallon, equivalent to roughly 3.8 litres, and insisted that motorists deserve to benefit from lower crude oil costs.

He also renewed his criticism of California’s fuel tax policy, urging state authorities to reduce taxes on petrol to provide additional relief for drivers facing high transportation costs.
