Putin Tells Trump Russia Has No Aggressive Plans Toward Europe
Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured US President Donald Trump that Moscow has no aggressive intentions toward European countries, according to a senior Kremlin official. The claim comes as several European governments accuse Russia of involvement in alleged sabotage and security incidents across the continent.
Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov described Tuesday’s phone call between Putin and Trump as constructive and said the Russian leader also briefed Trump on developments in Ukraine and Moscow’s military objectives.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said recent talks with US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff produced “worthwhile ideas” for ending the war. Zelenskyy expressed hope that Ukraine, Russia and the US could resume negotiations in the autumn, saying Kyiv is prepared to seek compromises on issues including grain exports and energy.
