Anambra Police Arrest Woman Over Alleged Child Exploitation, Rescue Four Minors
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested 36-year-old Anulika Onyeanusia in Onitsha following the circulation of a viral video allegedly showing the severe sexual abuse of a minor.
The swift law enforcement operation, conducted on September 10, 2026, led to the successful rescue of four young children aged 2, 3, 6, and 9.
During the raid, detectives recovered sex toys and other critical evidence linking the suspect to the production of child pornography.
The suspect remains in police custody, while her husband is currently being interrogated by detectives to determine his level of involvement or complicity in the crimes.
In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Oji Ama, ordered a comprehensive investigation into the syndicate.
He further directed that the rescued minors immediately receive specialized protection, professional counseling, and psychological support, while emphasizing that the privacy and identities of the children will be strictly safeguarded throughout the legal process.
State authorities highly commended the collaborative efforts of local vigilante operatives, digital bloggers, and community residents whose timely intelligence sharing directly aided the swift intervention.
