“Take Down the Post!” — Diewait Ikpechukwu’s Daughter Begs AGN
Chiamaka, daughter of late Nollywood actor Diewait Ikpechukwu, has appealed to the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to remove its mourning post, saying she wants to announce her father’s death herself.

Her reaction followed the guild’s publication of a tribute after reports emerged that the veteran actor had died.
DAILY POST reports that Ikpechukwu died on Thursday after battling an undisclosed illness. He was 71.
In an emotional video, Chiamaka pleaded with the guild to respect her family’s grief and allow her to make the announcement.
“Please take down the post. Let me be the one to announce my papa’s death,” she said.
She also questioned why members of the entertainment industry often waited until colleagues died before publicly expressing love and appreciation for them.
Chiamaka further appealed to people not to call her or circulate her father’s photograph while she struggled to process the loss.
“Please, Actors’ Guild, I don’t want you guys posting my daddy. Make nobody post my papa, please. This is a very hard video for me to make. Nobody should call me; nobody should post my daddy’s poster,” she said.
Revealing how deeply the loss had affected her, she disclosed that she was still wearing her father’s shirt.

“I’m still wearing my daddy’s shirt. Take that post down, please. Let me be the one to announce my papa’s death. I don’t want you guys to do that for me,” she added.
