Jerry Williams’ Condition Worsens, Nollywood Colleagues Consider Fresh Rehabilitation
Concern is growing within Nollywood over actor Jerry Williams’ deteriorating condition, following fresh reports about his alleged struggle with drug addiction.
Filmmaker and digital creator Izutech, alongside actor Stanley Ontop, have expressed concern about Williams’ wellbeing and called for urgent intervention.
The latest development comes approximately one year after Izutech reportedly helped arrange rehabilitation for the actor.
Despite the earlier intervention, Williams is said to have experienced another setback, prompting renewed calls for professional assistance.
Izutech disclosed that plans were underway to secure another rehabilitation placement for his colleague, who allegedly refused to attend scheduled medical check-ups.
He also suggested that Williams’ situation might have a spiritual dimension, although no independent evidence was provided to support that suggestion.
The filmmaker shared a photograph showing Williams looking unkempt while in police custody, further drawing attention to his circumstances.
In an Instagram post, Izutech explained that he had contacted the relevant authorities to explore ways of getting Williams admitted into another rehabilitation facility.
He also appealed to members of the public to show compassion, insisting that the actor needed support rather than criticism.
Izutech disclosed that he had prepared a proposal and forwarded it to Williams’ family, while awaiting their response.
He warned that he might personally intervene if the family failed to take the necessary steps.
According to him, the proposed rehabilitation programme could last between one and two years, depending on the arrangements.
Meanwhile, Stanley Ontop also expressed concern, questioning members of the movie industry about Williams’ whereabouts.
The development attracted reactions from social media users, with several people offering different explanations for the actor’s reported condition.
An Instagram user, luchysplace, suggested that Williams needed spiritual intervention, arguing that his situation might extend beyond conventional medical treatment.
Another commenter, goody_uc, claimed to have communicated with the actor recently and insisted that he urgently needed assistance.
However, ojaswilliamo disagreed with the spiritual explanation, attributing the reported difficulties to drug use instead.
