Okorocha Makes Fresh Revelation About Uzodinma’s 2022 Vice-Presidential Ambition
Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has alleged that Governor Hope Uzodinma once sought to become the running mate of former Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

Okorocha made the claim on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television, following his declaration as the authentic winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary for Imo West.
The former governor alleged that Uzodinma had expressed interest in becoming Lawan’s vice-presidential candidate during the APC presidential primary in 2022.
Describing the governor as politically ambitious, Okorocha claimed he had consistently sought opportunities to occupy different positions.
“Hope wants to be everything,” he said while discussing Uzodinma’s alleged political ambitions.
The former governor also criticised Uzodinma’s leadership, claiming that Imo residents were unhappy with his administration.
He particularly raised concerns about insecurity in the state, accusing the governor of failing to contain violence and other security challenges.
Okorocha contrasted the current security situation with his administration, claiming he had managed similar challenges without bloodshed during his time as governor.
He also challenged Uzodinma to accept the outcome of the APC senatorial primary rather than pursue an appeal.

“If I were him, let him forget going to appeal. Let him just accept this in good faith because he did not win an election,” Okorocha said.
He further argued that the outcome should not be overturned through what he described as an individual’s attempt to manipulate the electoral process.
Okorocha maintained that his comments were intended to draw attention to what he considered poor leadership and questionable political activities under Uzodinma’s administration.
