Denzel Bentley Offers Conor Benn Immediate World Title Shot After Garcia Defeat
Conor Benn has been offered a route back to a world title after Denzel Bentley expressed his willingness to defend the WBO middleweight belt against him.
Benn was stopped by Ryan Garcia in the second round of their welterweight world title clash last weekend, prompting the British fighter to take time away from boxing and focus on his family.
Bentley, who recently became the full WBO middleweight champion, said he would welcome a fight with Benn, pointing to the significance of the belt once held by Benn’s father, Nigel Benn.
While Benn had previously indicated he planned to move up in weight, he has since admitted he is uncertain about his future, saying his immediate priority is spending time with his children.
