WATCH: My Husband Is Not Man Enough…— Aproko Doctor’s Wife Breaks Silence

Chef Amaka, the wife of Nigerian health influencer Aproko Doctor, has opened up about the painful rumours that trailed their marriage after they did not have a child soon after their wedding, revealing that the speculation had nothing to do with her husband’s fertility.

Speaking in a recent interview, Amaka said the rumours began only a few months after they got married when she discovered she had missed her menstrual cycle.

Medical tests later confirmed that she had Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal condition that can interfere with ovulation and make conception more difficult.

Despite the diagnosis, she said many people rushed to blame her husband, with some claiming he could not father a child. Recalling one of the most painful moments, Amaka said, “What made me cry was when they said my husband is not man enough to father a child.”

She explained that the condition also brought noticeable physical changes, including weight gain and a broader upper-body frame, attracting hurtful comments about her appearance.

According to her, some people even mocked her by calling her “the man of the house” because she appeared older than her husband.

Amaka said while the insults directed at her appearance were difficult to bear, the attacks on Aproko Doctor affected her the most.

She admitted the false claims about his masculinity left her heartbroken, stressing that their delayed conception was linked to her health condition and not her husband’s ability to father children.
