Peller Apologises After Jesus Christ Livestream Sparks Religious Outrage
Nigerian streamer Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has apologised after facing criticism for dressing in a white costume and asking guests to address him as Jesus Christ during a livestream. The stunt drew immediate objections from a guest, who warned him against disrespecting religion. Clips of the incident quickly circulated online, attracting criticism from viewers.

In a follow-up video posted on November 1, Peller said he did not realise the outfit would offend people. He apologised specifically to Christians and described the costume as simply a white cloth. He also identified himself as someone who attends Christ Apostolic Church while saying he is Muslim on one side, insisting that he meant no harm.

However, his apology has continued to generate reactions, with some viewers questioning its sincerity. Others criticised what they described as a pattern of controversial behaviour followed by public apologies. The incident has once again placed Peller’s livestream activities under public scrutiny.
