US Judge Gives Pirro Four Days to Release Tinubu Drug-Related Records
A United States District Judge, Beryl Howell, has given US Attorney Jeanine Pirro an additional four days to comply with a court order concerning records allegedly linked to drug-trafficking investigations involving Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.

The development was disclosed by Dr. Von Batten-Montague-York in a post on X. He said Judge Howell rejected Pirro’s request for a further 10-day extension and instead granted only four additional days.
The new deadline for compliance is August 21, 2026.
The records in question are reportedly held by the US Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
According to Von Batten-Montague-York, Judge Howell pointed out that the case has remained before the court for more than three years, prompting the court to impose the shorter extension.
He welcomed the decision, describing it as a renewed push by the US Attorney and the Department of Justice to comply with the order and make the records available.
“We deeply appreciate US Attorney Pirro and the DOJ’s renewed motivation to release these documents,” he said, arguing that the long-running case should now lead to the publication of the records.
He also maintained that US strategic interests and its relationship with Nigeria should not be used to prevent the release of the documents.
“As President Trump has indicated, our shared interests with Nigeria do not mean supporting an alleged drug trafficker,” he added.
The court’s August 21 deadline now puts the Department of Justice and Pirro under renewed pressure to comply with the order concerning the records.
