Tinubu Is Son of Osun — Adeleke Reaffirms 2027 Endorsement After Election Victory
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has renewed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for another term in office, shortly after being declared winner of the state’s governorship election.
Adeleke, who spoke after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced his victory on Sunday, described Tinubu as a son of Osun State and said he remained committed to his earlier endorsement of the President for the 2027 presidential election.
The governor also thanked Tinubu for what he described as his support for a peaceful, free and credible election.

“At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election.
“President Tinubu is son of Osun State and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” Adeleke said.
Tinubu had earlier congratulated Adeleke on his victory in the election.
The INEC Returning Officer declared Adeleke the winner after he secured 511,067 votes across 19 Local Government Areas.
His closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 444,815 votes and won in 11 Local Government Areas.
Adeleke’s latest statement means his support for Tinubu’s 2027 ambition remains unchanged despite the political contest between the Peoples Democratic Party and the APC in Osun State.
