VDM Reveals Why He Fell Out With Davido
Social media commentator Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has offered his version of events surrounding his reported fallout with Afrobeats star Davido, claiming it began after he declined an alleged ₦50 million political offer.

In a video making the rounds online, VDM alleged that people close to the singer approached him with an invitation to support the political interests of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke is Davido’s uncle. According to him, the proposal came with a promise of ₦50 million, but he chose not to accept it.
He said many people would have considered the offer too attractive to refuse, but insisted he walked away because he did not want to be involved in the campaign.
VDM also dismissed suggestions that he and Davido had remained close in recent months, revealing that their last notable exchange centred on a financial promise the singer made to a young man in Ghana.

According to him, Davido had pledged to give the beneficiary $5,000, but when the payment did not arrive immediately, social media users accused both men of staging the gesture for publicity.
VDM said he later contacted the singer privately to remind him of the commitment, after which the money was reportedly paid.
His comments come amid growing curiosity over the once-friendly relationship between the pair, which many followers had noticed appeared to have cooled in recent months.

As of the time of this report, Davido has not publicly responded to VDM’s claims or addressed the allegations surrounding their reported fallout.
