MTN Network Outage Disrupts Services in Lagos, FCT, Four Other States
MTN Nigeria has announced a network outage affecting customers in Lagos, Oyo, Rivers and Delta states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, leaving some users unable to access its services.
The telecommunications company confirmed the disruption in a statement published on its official X account on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
MTN said customers in the affected locations might experience difficulties using some of its services while efforts to resolve the problem continued.
The company stated that its engineers were working to restore normal service as quickly as possible and appealed to affected subscribers to remain patient.
In a follow-up message, MTN apologised to customers experiencing difficulties and assured them that its technical team was working to address the network problem.
However, the telecommunications provider did not disclose what caused the outage or specify when services would be fully restored.
The disruption comes as customers in the affected areas await the restoration of normal MTN network services.
