Michel Pereira Finds New MMA Home After UFC Exit
Michel Pereira has reportedly signed with Z Fight Night, the South Korean MMA promotion led by former UFC fighter Chan Sung Jung, popularly known as the Korean Zombie. Brazilian journalist Laerte Viana reported on October 27 that Pereira could make his debut in December, while separate South Korean reporting has linked him to Hwang In-su at ZFN 05 on December 19 in Incheon. The promotion has yet to publicly confirm the reported matchup.
The move would mark a new chapter for Pereira following seven years in the UFC. He most recently lost to Shara Magomedov by unanimous decision on June 27, after defeating Zachary Reese by split decision in February. Pereira has reportedly recorded 10 victories across 16 UFC appearances, but his recent run includes four losses in his last five fights.

Hwang, a former Road FC middleweight champion who appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2025, could provide Pereira with a significant test if the reported fight goes ahead. Reports also indicate that Pereira’s representatives explored opportunities with Croatia’s FNC before discussions about a return to South Korea. However, the financial terms of his reported Z Fight Night deal have not been publicly verified.
