Russian Strikes Kill 11 in Ukraine as Trump Announces Diesel Deal With Putin
Russian strikes have killed at least 11 people, including three children, in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, with 16 others reported injured. The attack came amid intensified Russian bombardments that Ukrainian officials say have killed more than 60 people across the country in four days.
The strikes occurred a day after US President Donald Trump announced an agreement for Russia to supply diesel to the United States. Trump said the deal would involve millions of tonnes of fuel delivered in stages, in a move aimed at addressing rising fuel prices ahead of the US midterm elections.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticised the agreement, warning that Russian fuel revenue could help Moscow prolong the war. He also expressed concern that the deal was announced while US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were meeting Ukrainian officials in Miami to discuss proposals for ending the conflict.
