Gable Steveson’s Team Sends Strong Message After UFC 331 Loss

Gable Steveson’s manager, Abe Kawa, has backed the former Olympic wrestling champion following his devastating 12-second knockout loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331.

Steveson was stopped by a powerful left hook in the heavyweight bout after Sharaf had repeatedly taunted him during the build-up. The defeat came after Steveson won his UFC debut by first-round knockout and had been tipped to make a strong impact in the promotion.

Despite the setback, Kawa urged Steveson to remain focused, pointing to several MMA legends who suffered defeats before going on to build remarkable careers. “We stand by our guy. He will be back real soon and he will be great,” Kawa wrote.
