Amanda Nunes Ready for Big UFC Comeback Against Kayla Harrison
MMA legend Amanda Nunes is set to make her long-awaited UFC return in November when she challenges Kayla Harrison for the women’s bantamweight championship at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Nunes, 38, has not competed since July 2023, when she defeated Irene Aldana at UFC 289 before announcing her retirement. The former two-division champion was previously scheduled to face Harrison at UFC 324, but the bout was postponed after Harrison suffered a serious neck injury that required surgery.
UFC CEO Dana White has described the rescheduled clash as potentially “the greatest women’s fight ever in any f***ing sport ever.” Harrison became UFC bantamweight champion after submitting Julianna Peña in 2025 and will now face one of the most decorated fighters in women’s MMA.
The November event will also feature Ciryl Gane defending the undisputed heavyweight title against Josh Hokit, while Caio Borralho, Yousri Belgaroui, Uros Medic and Kevin Holland are among the other fighters scheduled for UFC 334.
