Jai Arrow Wins Rabbitohs Clubperson of the Year for Second Straight Year
South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has been named the club’s Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year for 2026, making it the second consecutive year he has received the honour.
Arrow’s award comes after a remarkable year in which he has shown immense courage and leadership following his diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Despite the difficult battle, Arrow returned to the field for two matches late in the season and reached a major milestone by playing his 100th NRL game for South Sydney.
He became only the 67th player in the club’s history to reach 100 NRL appearances for the Rabbitohs.
His determination has inspired teammates, the South Sydney community and the wider rugby league world, while bringing the club together during an incredibly challenging period.
The award was presented to Arrow by teammate and close friend Cody Walker at the Red and Green Ball on Saturday night.
The Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year award is named after Rabbitohs legend Bob McCarthy, who played 211 first-grade games for South Sydney and scored 100 tries during the club’s golden era.
Arrow now joins an exclusive list of Rabbitohs players to have won the award, becoming the first back-to-back winner since the award’s recent history began.
