Man United’s Next Priority After Carlos Baleba Deal Revealed
With Carlos Baleba now closing in on a £65 million move to Manchester United, I believe the club’s next major priority is clear: a new left-back.
Luke Shaw, now 31, cannot be expected to carry the position throughout the season, while Harry Amass could leave. That leaves United needing a long-term solution, with Newcastle’s Lewis Hall reportedly their preferred target. Hall could cost around £60–70 million, although Newcastle insist he is not for sale.
If Hall proves too difficult to land, United could turn to Club Brugge’s Joaquin Seys or Racing Santander teenager Jorge Salinas.
For me, though, the message is simple: after strengthening midfield with Baleba, United must fix the left-back position before the transfer window closes.
