According to reports, 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into his penis during the cosmetic procedure.
Afterwards, Ubiribo reportedly complained of chest pain while having a massage with his wife at their Marriott hotel.
He reportedly passed out twice before being rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital for emergency treatment.
His wife informed doctors about the filler injections, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be carried out.
Doctors later determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a blockage of a blood vessel in the lungs.
Medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination in the United Kingdom reportedly found material in his lungs consistent with the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure. (TMZ)
Known for displaying his lavish lifestyle on social media, Ubiribo had about 185,000 Instagram followers.
He was later buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly worth more than $745,000.
Davido attended his funeral and described the reality of his associate’s death as difficult to accept.
Cubana Chief Priest also paid tribute to Ubiribo, sharing a funeral video and celebrating the memories they shared.
