Norway Fight Back to Beat Ivory Coast, Book Round of 16 Clash with Brazil
Norway fought back from a goal down to defeat Ivory Coast 2-1 and book their place in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16, where they will face five-time champions Brazil.
Ivory Coast made the brighter start and took the lead, leaving Norway with plenty to do in the knockout contest.
The Scandinavian side responded with renewed intensity in the second half and finally found the equaliser in the 74th minute to bring the game back to life.
With extra time looming, Erling Haaland stepped up once again, scoring in the 86th minute to complete Norway’s comeback and seal a memorable victory.
The result sends Norway into one of the most anticipated ties of the Round of 16, with Brazil standing between them and a place in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere, France and Sweden are set to battle for another place in the last eight later today as the knockout stage gathers momentum.
