New UFC Signing Ronald Humphrey Warns Entire Welterweight Division
Ronald Humphrey has sent a fierce warning to the UFC welterweight division after earning his UFC contract with a first-round submission victory on Week 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series. Humphrey stopped Alexis Miranda after dropping him with a jab and finishing the fight with a rear-naked choke, improving his professional record to 5-0.
Humphrey also opened a cut on Miranda with an elbow during the fight and appeared unfazed by the resulting blood. After the victory, the 170-pound prospect declared that his goal is to become UFC champion and warned every welterweight standing between him and the title. “Whoever is at 170 pounds, you’re burned. Remember my name,” Humphrey said.
The new UFC signing has finished all five of his professional opponents, with only one fight lasting beyond the opening round. With his aggressive style and unbeaten record, Humphrey now enters one of the UFC’s deepest divisions with championship ambitions and plenty of attention already surrounding his arrival.
