Elon Musk Unveils ‘Flying’ Tesla Roadster With SpaceX Rocket Thrusters in Texas
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has unveiled a futuristic version of the Roadster sports car equipped with SpaceX rocket thrusters, according to a video report published by Anadolu Agency on October 16, 2026. The demonstration reportedly took place at a SpaceX test site in Texas, showcasing a vehicle designed to push the boundaries of conventional automotive technology.

In the demonstration, the vehicle reportedly lifted vertically into the air, performed a mid-air barrel roll above parked Tesla cars and landed back on its wheels. The display highlighted the potential use of rocket-based propulsion technology in a high-performance sports car.

The unveiling has drawn attention to Musk’s ambition to combine electric vehicle engineering with SpaceX-inspired technology. However, the reported demonstration does not by itself establish whether the flying Roadster will be commercially available or when such a vehicle could reach production.
