Conor McGregor Wanted for Police Interview in Perjury Investigation
Irish police are seeking to interview former UFC champion Conor McGregor as part of an investigation into alleged perjury linked to his unsuccessful appeal in the Nikita Hand civil case.

McGregor’s solicitor, Ciaran Mulholland, said the fighter is currently in California receiving medical care but remains willing to assist investigators remotely or return to Ireland once medically cleared. Police reportedly first contacted McGregor in September 2025 and made another attempt in June 2026.
The investigation centres on claims that false statements were made in affidavits submitted during McGregor’s appeal. Two people connected to the evidence, Samantha O’Reilly and Steven Cummins, have been charged with alleged false statements relating to judicial proceedings, although the allegations remain unproven.

The investigation is separate from the original civil case, in which a jury found McGregor liable in 2024 and his appeal was later unsuccessful. The current Garda inquiry concerns the alleged statements made during the appeal process.
