Broda Shaggi Opens Up on Injury That Put His Career on Hold
Nigerian comedian and actor Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has recounted his frightening experience after a stray bullet struck him while filming a comedy skit under the Sango-Ota bridge in March 2026. In a YouTube video released on Wednesday, he revealed how the injury kept him away from work for months and left him uncertain about his future in entertainment.

Shaggi said he initially underwent surgery in Nigeria before travelling to Dubai for further treatment after being advised to continue with physiotherapy. He recalled the emotional toll of watching colleagues perform while he struggled to recover, fearing fans might forget him during his absence. He also described the fear he felt after seeing blood and losing consciousness on the way to the hospital.

The comedian said his condition has improved significantly, allowing him to stand without crutches, although he still uses them for support. Expressing gratitude for surviving the incident, Shaggi described his recovery as a second chance at life and assured fans that exciting projects were on the way as he prepares to return to their screens.
