Amber Rose Changes Her View on Feminism After Becoming a Mother to Sons

American model and television personality Amber Rose has disclosed that she no longer considers herself a feminist, explaining that motherhood has influenced the way she now views gender issues.

Rose said her perspective has changed as she has grown older and raised sons, although she maintained that she continues to support women and believes in empowering them.

“As I’ve gotten older and now have sons, I’m no longer a feminist. I still believe in girl power, but I see both sides now,” she said.

The model has previously spoken publicly about women’s empowerment, body positivity and issues surrounding gender.

Her latest comments have generated mixed reactions online, with social media users offering differing views on her decision to distance herself from feminism.

Some commenters argued that becoming a mother to boys may have broadened her perspective, while others questioned whether her new position contradicted her earlier advocacy for women.

On X, @GArchitect welcomed Rose’s decision but criticised her previous views, writing: “Good to have your senses back. Now tell the girls you’ve successfully brainwashed all these years.”

Another user, @Ifyndigwe, disagreed with Rose’s position, arguing that feminism is about equality between women and men rather than opposition to either gender.

@AVickyMemes offered a different interpretation, saying Rose’s comments reflected the experience of raising sons while maintaining that feminism should not be about hostility towards men.
