Blessing CEO’s Kirikiri Ordeal Draws Fresh Attention After Comedian’s Visit
Comedian Princewill has visited relationship influencer Blessing CEO at Kirikiri Medium Security Prison in Lagos, offering an account of her condition and appealing for intervention. Speaking in an Instagram video shared on October 20, 2026, he dismissed a viral clip showing her coughing, saying the footage did not reflect the woman he met during his visit.
Princewill said Blessing CEO was trying to remain strong while dealing with three separate court cases that have complicated her release. He also questioned why she remained in custody despite efforts to meet her bail conditions, explaining that replacement sureties had been submitted after earlier ones were rejected.
The comedian further appealed to human rights organisations and the Lagos State government to intervene. He said the ₦36 million involved in one of the cases had reportedly been refunded, citing testimony he said was given during cross-examination. However, the circumstances surrounding her continued detention remain tied to the ongoing legal proceedings.
