ToluwaniSings Slumped, Taken to Eight Hospitals Before Death, Aide Reveals
The personal assistant to late gospel singer ToluwaniSings, Babadunni Olayemi, has revealed that the singer was taken to between seven and eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, after suddenly slumping, but efforts to secure medical attention were unsuccessful. ToluwaniSings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Speaking on Thursday, Babadunni said some hospitals cited the ongoing doctors’ strike, while others reportedly refused to admit the singer. He added that the singer had appeared healthy before the incident, and attempts were made to resuscitate him before he was taken from one hospital to another.

The singer’s body has been deposited in a mortuary, while his family is expected to decide on burial arrangements after consultations. ToluwaniSings was known for gospel songs including “A Very Big God” and “Onibuore” and had reportedly performed at a worship event a day before his death.
