“Sometimes I Just Can’t Move” — Regina Daniels Reveals Agonising Health Battle on 25th Birthday
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about months of severe pain and difficulty walking, revealing the health challenges behind her prolonged absence from social media.
The actress shared the revelation on Saturday, October 10, in a birthday video posted on Instagram, where she appeared in a wheelchair while marking her 25th birthday.
Describing the occasion as her silver jubilee, Daniels prayed for peace and a better chapter in her life as she celebrated another year.
“Hi everyone. It’s my Silver Jubilee. This new phase of my life, I pray to God for total calm. Happy birthday to me,” she said.
Daniels explained that her health problem initially appeared minor but gradually worsened, eventually affecting her ability to move around without difficulty.
“For several months now, I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she said.
The actress identified the Children’s Day carnival she previously hosted as the point after which her condition took a serious turn.
She disclosed that she had undergone numerous medical tests in an effort to understand what was happening to her health, describing the repeated procedures humorously as being like a “lab rat.”
“But things took a major turn after the last public gathering I hosted, my Children’s Day carnival. It’s been one test after another that I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat,” she said.
Describing the intensity of her suffering, Daniels said the pain had become excruciating, leaving her uncertain about her ability to walk from one moment to another.
“The pain became, how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.
The actress also spoke about the emotional toll of her health struggles, revealing that she had cried over her condition while continuing to pray for divine healing.
“I cried. I looked on to God for His divine healing, as He alone has the final say on my life,” Daniels said.
In her Instagram post, the actress acknowledged that her appearance in a wheelchair might surprise followers who had been wondering about her absence.
She explained that sharing the video was a way to address questions about her disappearance from social media and update those who had expressed genuine concern about her wellbeing.
Although Daniels described the severity of her symptoms and the medical tests she had undergone, she did not disclose a specific diagnosis in her birthday message.
