Trump Blasts Norway After Missing Out on 2026 Nobel Peace Prize
US President Donald Trump has criticised Norway after failing to win the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, accusing the award’s organisers of making a disgraceful decision despite his claims of settling international conflicts.

Trump Nominated for 2026 Nobel Prize
Trump voiced his frustration during a Republican campaign rally in Syracuse, New York, on Friday, insisting that the United States deserved the prestigious award under his leadership.
He described the decision as an embarrassment to Norway and warned that his administration would not forget the snub, while attacking the Nobel committee’s credibility.
The president also listed several conflicts he claimed to have resolved, promising to end the wars involving Iran and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine quickly.
Addressing the conflict with Iran, Trump issued a fresh warning, saying the confrontation would end either with Tehran meeting Washington’s demands or facing devastating consequences.
He further claimed that his actions had prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and saved millions of lives, although his assertions about Iran’s nuclear ambitions have faced scrutiny.
Trump also dismissed this year’s recipient, Navi Pillay, a South African former United Nations human rights chief, whose work included chairing a UN commission that accused Israel of genocide in Gaza.
His remarks came as the war involving Iran continued to dominate international attention, raising questions about his administration’s foreign policy and claims of diplomatic success.

The Nobel Peace Prize snub has added another point of tension to Trump’s relationship with Norway, as the president continues to defend his record on international security and conflict resolution.
