Patience Ozokwo Explains Why She Missed Olu Jacobs’ Funeral
Nollywood veteran Patience Ozokwo has explained why she was unable to attend the funeral of legendary actor Olu Jacobs in Lagos.
The actress, who was in Ghana for work, said contractual obligations prevented her from returning to Nigeria for the burial. She shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, saying it hurt her deeply to miss the opportunity to pay her last respects.
Ozokwo prayed for a peaceful ceremony and praised Jacobs’ lasting contribution to Nigerian cinema, adding that although she was absent physically, she was with the family and colleagues in spirit.
She ended her message with a heartfelt farewell, writing: “Rest well, great legend. Your legacy will forever remain. Go well, great legend. Ga nke Oma. Until we meet to part no more.”
