Tinubu Supporters Move Campaign to Europe Ahead of 2027
A support group backing President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re-election in 2027 has commenced a 10-day campaign tour of Europe to mobilise Nigerians living across the continent.

The group’s Coordinator, Ikenna Azomchine, disclosed this during the inauguration of its European chapter in Brussels, Belgium.
Azomchine, who supported Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election, said he changed his position after observing what he described as the performance of Tinubu’s administration since it assumed office.
He recalled that the group had visited Brussels in 2022 to canvass support for Obi and appeal to the European Union to accept him as Nigeria’s president.
“In this same Brussels in 2022, we made an appeal to the European Union to accept Peter Obi as our president because we believed that he had what it took to lead Nigeria out of the mess at the time,” he said.
Azomchine said the group had returned to Brussels this time with a different objective as it seeks to mobilise Nigerians in Europe for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
“I’m here on a 10-day tour and inauguration of Obidient General Worldwide Team in Europe. We are here this time to campaign for President Bola Tinubu because of the competence, credibility and all we have seen him do,” he said.
He said his support for Tinubu was based partly on his personal experience in Nigeria and his observations of developments under the present administration.
“You are not going to tell me what the President is doing in Nigeria because I have been in Nigeria and seen them with my own eyes,” Azomchine said.
He identified education, infrastructure and funding for state governments among the areas where he believes the administration has recorded progress.
“Let me tell you that Nigerian universities no longer go on strike; students get NELFUND support and the President pays students’ school fees,” he said.
Azomchine also pointed to increased allocations received by state governments, saying the administration had continued to award contracts for major infrastructure projects.
“The highest amount of allocations are being received today by our governors. The President is doing well and awarding contracts,” he said.
He cited the Jos-Akwanga road, which he said had been in a poor state for more than 30 years, as one of the projects awarded by the Federal Government.
He also mentioned a link road from Maiduguri to Bauchi and the Makurdi-Enugu road, which he claimed was more than 90 per cent completed.
Azomchine said his previous involvement with Obi had given him an opportunity to understand both Obi and Tinubu, including what he described as their respective strengths and weaknesses.
“What I studied about President Bola Tinubu will shock you, and the things he is doing will shock you even more,” he said.
He added, “I can tell you that Peter Obi cannot do it. I know the man I followed, and don’t forget that I followed Peter Obi and I know the difference between both men.”
The 10-day campaign tour is expected to cover other European countries as the group engages Nigerians in the diaspora and seeks support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
