Peter Obi Reportedly Blocked From Entering Benue Amid Political Tensions
NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has reportedly been prevented from entering Benue State after alleged sponsored thugs and security operatives blocked access along Boko Road near the Air Force Base. Obi’s photographer, Esther Umoh, claimed on social media that the former Anambra governor wanted to proceed but was stopped by security personnel.

The reported incident comes amid previous tensions between Obi and Benue Governor Hyacinth Alia over political and humanitarian visits to the state. Alia had previously warned that visits capable of attracting large political gatherings could face security concerns if the necessary approvals and arrangements were not made.

The development has sparked reactions online, with supporters condemning the alleged obstruction and calling for Obi to be allowed access to the state. However, the claims circulating on social media have not been independently verified, and the circumstances surrounding the reported blockade remain unclear.
