Zelenskyy Plans September Meeting With Trump Over US Missiles
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he expects to meet US President Donald Trump in the second half of September, with American ballistic missile supplies for Ukraine high on the agenda.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine is developing the Freya anti-ballistic missile programme but needs US missile packages until the system is ready.
The meeting could potentially take place around the UN General Assembly in New York, where world leaders gather later this month.
Zelenskyy also said he hopes the meeting will produce concrete results, as discussions continue over possible US-Ukraine-Russia talks. However, no final decision has been announced on a trilateral meeting.
